Although Madison’s budget is not yet finalized, city citizens can expect road projects to make progress, grants that will help augment the city’s community feel and even tag readers throughout the next fiscal year.

Although Neely Carlton Lyons comes from a family with many successful and hardworking members, many of whom have worked in public service, it is her great-aunt, Zelma Wells Price, who has influenced Neely the most.
Lake Harbour Drive is undergoing two projects, and both are making progress. In a recent board meeting, the Ridgeland Board of Aldermen voted to advertise for bids for the Lake Harbour overlay project as well as the new box culvert for the road’s extension.
With only an $8 million bond recently issued and approved by the Madison County Board of Supervisors to repair 14 county roads, some roads in desperate need of improvement — like Weisenberger and Yandell — won’t get those funds.
