Colonial Rezoning

A meeting to determine the fate of the Colonial Country Club property in Northeast Jackson has been postponed until March.

Developers with Colonial Jackson LLC told the Sun that the wintry weather last week prevented them from making the meeting.

Jackson Crime

A couple involved in two recent armed robberies on the Northside was behind bars last week.

On February 11, Clinton police arrested Terrell Brown and Kelsey McInnis in connection with an armed robbery and strong-arm robbery in Clinton.

Hinds Radio Lawsuits

Another legal volley could soon be fired in the suit between Airwave LLC and the Hinds County Board of Supervisors.

The board is being sued by Airwave for breach of contract after the board terminated two of its contracts with the firm in 2014.

C Spire Fiberhoods

Eleven Northeast Jackson neighborhoods are on the cusp of having higher property values, by having enough residents sign up to become fiberhoods.

Fiberhoods are communities that have one-gig Internet access, according to officials with C Spire Wireless.

JA Bomb Threat

When Sarah Love was told there was a bomb threat at Jackson Academy, the dean of the lower school didn’t announce the threat over the intercom.

Instead, she announced that the lower school would be having a fire drill.
