St. Andrew’s Episcopal School seniors (from left) Ariel Thornton and Josh Little have been elected by their peers as Mr. and Miss St. Andrew’s 2017.  Thornton is the daughter Cassandra and Basil Thornton. Little is the son of Lynette and Jason Little.

Royalty for the Day

Kings and queens was recently the theme in K3 at Madison Ridgeland Academy. These students (from left) Gunner Gordon and Sara Reid Sory got to be the king and queen for the day.

Former faculty

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School welcomed retired and former faculty members back on campus to read to students on Read Across America Day, enjoy a lunch together, and tour the new Early Childhood Center.

Beau winners

Madison Central High School’s yearbook staff hosted the Winter Wonderland Beauty and Beau pageant.  Sophomore beau winners are (from left) Saad Alamgir, Westbrooks Ross, Walker Ashworth, and Bailen Haynie.

Team building

Sophomores  at Jackson Academy are taking the Down Range individual obstacle and team building challenge course developed by the C.J. Stewart Foundation.

Missions

First Presbyterian Day School students enjoyed hearing from several missionaries during First Presbyterian Church Jackson’s annual missons conference. Shown are (from left, back) Alleen and Hermes Tomas; (front) Campbell Wyatt, Will and McClain Morgan.

High tea

The Annandale Chapter DAR met in January at the Country Club of Jackson. Karen Gordon presented a program on the history of tea.  The chapter presented her a year subscription to the American Spirit DAR magazine.
