Go Cups for Ridgeland

What was part of Ridgeland’s legislative agenda at the beginning of this year is now a reality.

Ridgeland can now set up leisure and recreation districts throughout the city, according to Mississippi’s new “go cup” bill.

City, County Agreement

The city of Madison and Madison County have finalized the 2017 paving program.

During a recent board of aldermen meeting, city officials accepted the county’s amendment to the interlocal agreement.

Plats approved

Two preliminary plats have been approved for Madison, adding more homes to the Reunion subdivision.

Eastwick and Edenberg are both communities in Reunion. The phase two plans were approved by city officials during a recent board of aldermen meeting.

Flying fun

Frank Kimmel, owner of Kimmel Aviation Insurance in Greenwood, recently spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson about his passion for flying the F4U Corsair, one of the iconic fighter planes of World War II.
