Area sheriffs frustrated by lack of radar
MISSISSIPPI SHERIFFS still can’t use radar to catch speeders, and officials aren’t overly optimistic about getting legislation to change that.
“The sheriffs association has done everything we can to get the bill passed. Myself and [Rankin County Sheriff] Bryan Bailey even offered to donate any revenue that was generated [by speeding tickets] to the school districts. We still can’t get it passed. I don’t know what we can do,” said Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker.
