Cliche column hit a nerve and struck home
It seems like only yesterday that I wrote a column on clichés, those timeworn expressions that set my teeth on edge. Strange as it may seem, my essay struck a responsive chord among more than a few of you. It never ceases to amaze me in this day and age that people still give a hoot about the written word.
A few among you missed the point. It pains me to admit that my core belief - avoiding clichés - went over your heads and rolled all the way to the center-field wall.
