PENDING a review of its proposal, Hemphill Construction Company will likely be chosen to do the Fortification Street Improvement Project.
The city of Jackson opened bids at a public meeting last week, with Hemphill submitting the lowest price. Hemphill’s bid was for just under $9 million. Next was Utah Construction Company, with a bid for $11.35 million, and Southern Rock, with a bid for $11.9 million.
All three proposals came in under the city’s $12 million estimate to complete the project.
