Millions needed to address zoo repairs
Aging water lines and surfaces that need to be repaved aren’t only a problem for the city of Jackson.
They’re also concerns for the Jackson Zoological Park.
The park needs approximately $4.6 million to bring its walkways, water system, drainage and buildings up to date.
“We probably have $2 million in improvements we want to do that are not funded, $1.5 million in general repairs that we’ll pace out over the years, and $1.1 million in infrastructure stuff,” said Executive Director Beth Poff.
