N’sider angered over city’s response to main break
FOR THREE months, Brenda Newhouse has been unable to drive her Chevy Trailblazer onto her driveway.
That’s because a water main burst under her yard on Gleneagles Drive in Northeast Jackson, creating a gaping hole in her front yard and washing dirt out from under her driveway.
She’s attempted to get the city to fix the problem, but has had little luck. Newhouse was told by officials to call a contractor to repair the driveway and the city would pay for it, but she isn’t going to until the leak is fixed.
