MADISON COUNTY taxpayers who own farm or forest land in the Gluckstadt area might see a slight change in their property tax bill later this year.
Madison County Tax Assessor Gerald Barber told the board of supervisors at a meeting last month that about 1,900 landowners would be affected by some changes in soil values.
“Some [taxpayers], it’s just pennies different. Others, it could be several hundred dollars,” Barber told the Sun.
