HB 211

HOUSE BILL 211, which will allow state agencies to hire their own attorneys for lawsuits without the approval of the attorney general, needs only Gov. Phil Bryant’s signature to come into effect July 1.

Speaker of the House Philip Gunn and several other legislators authored the bill, which passed both houses after a joint conference.
