MADISON COUNTY might not get a new annex office for its tax officials after all.
A plan to sell the current tax annex, located on Highway 51 in Ridgeland, and buy a Community Trust Bank building farther north on 51 in Madison, hit a roadblock – possibly a permanent one – earlier this month.
At a December board of supervisors meeting, included on the consent agenda was a proposal to have the existing annex appraised in order to sell it and buy the Community Trust building.
