Return to Korea much different than first time
On July 27, 1953, armistice was signed in Korea. Only a few years before that date, the city of Seoul was completely destroyed. The smoldering ashes, the plumes of smoke and the short edges of building remains still linger in my mind. The capitol was leaning in a 45-degree slant minus a dome. Where did the 12,000,000 people who were living in Seoul go? A Korean friend told me his family was separated - he was the only survivor and as a young lad wound up in Pusan, the port city in the southern tip of the peninsula.
