St. James Episcopal Church will host the Upton Tire Pros Sun King 5K Run/Walk and One Mile Fun Run October 20. This is the 12th annual Sun King 5K, which was originally organized and run in memory of runner and tri-athlete, Ernest Davidson, whose life was ended in 1999. As in the past several years, funds raised from the Sun King 5K will benefit the Metro Jackson Chapter of Habitat of Humanity. Members of the volunteer committee include (from left) Larry Allen, Ray Lewis, Iris Isaacs and Thad Hopper. For more information visit www.sunking5k.com.
