Using city crews for Fortification questioned

City of Jackson road crews who should otherwise be filling potholes or working on broken water mains will soon be doing work on the Fortification Street Improvement Project, so says Ward Seven Councilwoman Margaret Barrett-Simon.
The Jackson City Council recently rejected a request from Hemphill Construction and the administration that would have increased the cost of the project by approximately $150,000.
