Movie night

The Garden Club of Jackson is sponsoring a free Conservation Movie Night October 19 at 7 p.m. in the Yates Community Room at the Mississippi Museum of Art. This is the first time the GCJ has offered a documentary to the public about conservation. The documentary “Bag It - Is Your Life Too Plastic?”  embarks on a global tour to unravel the complexities of our plastic world.  It evolves into an investigation into plastic and its effects of our waterways, oceans and even our own bodies. We will see how our crazy-for-plastic world has finally caught up to us and what we can do about it.  Shown are (from left) GCJ members Charlotte McNeel, Lawana McLennan, Susan Nix and Patricia Hathcock using cloth bags for grocery purchases.
