He is responsible for meeting the payroll and making sure the Sun is profitable while giving readers and advertisers a good value for their money. Wyatt is a fifth-generation Mississippian and the third generation of his family to be a newspaper publisher. He has been publisher of the Northside Sun for 19 years. |
Jimmye Sweat, editorJimmye serves as editor of the Northside Sun Newspaper and the Northside Sun Magazine. In this position she is responsible for the editorial content of both publications. A journalism major from the University of Mississippi, she has been associated with the Northside Sun since the late '70s. She and her husband, Andy, make their home in Jackson. |
Melanie North, advertising manager Melanie joined The Northside Sun in 1999 as an account executive in advertising sales. In 2001, she assumed the position of advertising sales manager. She oversees the advertising department for both the newspaper and the magazine. She is a Canton native and graduate of Belhaven College. She and her husband Jeff, who writes a seasonal outdoors column for the newspaper, make their home in Brandon. |
Misti Sims, account executiveMisti joined the Northside Sun in May, 2002. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. A native of Jackson, she now lives in Madison with her husband Clint and son, Lowe. "I grew up reading the Northside Sun. She is a native of Northeast Jackson and now lives in Madison with her husband, Scott, and three boys, Walker, William and Patrick. With 25 years of bookkeeping and management experience, Katherine is responsible for the billing and collections for display advertising, payroll, accounts payable and financial statements. She also takes care of insurance, taxes and purchasing supplies. |
