Mark Houston took office last month as the new Madison County administrator. He formerly worked as county comptroller from 2004 through 2009 and as administrator from 2009 through April 2010. He is a CPA, worked 20 years in the state auditor’s office before 2004, and spent the past three years as a municipal bond advisor. Houston recently spoke with Sun staff writer Katie Eubanks about his return to Madison County government.
How do you think your job as a bond advisor prepared you to come back and be on the other side of bonds again?
