Each year First Presbyterian Day School adopts a ministry for families and students to support. The 2017-2018 mission project is Mission First, located in the city of Jackson. Lee Thigpen (back), Mission First director, recently spoke to students during chapel to kick off the year of partnership and giving.

Firemen visit

Covenant Presbyterian preschool enjoyed a visit from local firemen and got to tour their fire truck. Enjoying the morning are from (from left) Bodhi Kirk, Swayzie Dantone, Caroline Thomas, and Liam Nowell.

Football Friday

The Jackson Academy Raiders kicked off their first football Friday of the year with a pep rally led by the JA accents, varsity cheer, band, and the Rowdies, an organized spirit group made up of senior boys. Fun in the sun

Jackson Academy seniors (from left) Emma Ward, Olivia Stringer, Caroline Childress, Hadley Brennan, Kellan Clower, Sarah Grea Walker, Sara Brooks Adams, and Brehan Whitehead started the year off in the sun after parents provided treats during break for the Jackson Academy Class of 2018.

Academic award

Jackson Academy granted Academic Awards to fifth-graders (from left) Noah Pressler, Alex Guild, Mya Coins,  Rachel Lehman, and Gautam Ray. Academic Awards are given to students who have maintained scholastic excellence and have made a significant contribution in a subject area.



The Jackson Academy Accents won in the MAIS Spirit Competition, taking first place in both the AAAA Kick division and the AAAA Pom division against teams from across the state.
