Miss Agent and Green plan April 8 wedding at First Baptist Church

Mr. and Mrs. James Rudolph Agent of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Alice Agent, to Dr. Edward Douglas Green, son of Dr. and Mrs. William Robert Green of Jonesboro, Ark.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Agent of Philadelphia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emery Bernard Milling of Union. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Douglas Green Sr. of Sparkman, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brunson Pugh of Memphis.

Miss Agent is an honor graduate of Woodland Hills Baptist Academy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Mississippi College and was graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi College with a master’s in education. She is a sixth-grade mathematics teacher at Olde Towne Middle School.

Green is an honor graduate of Jonesboro High School. He was graduated cum laude from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his internship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, radiology residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital of Memphis, and nuclear radiology fellowship at Duke University. He is an associate professor of diagnostic radiology and director of the PET/CT Center at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The couple will exchange vows April 8 at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
