Miss King, Forks to exchange wedding vows May 13 at First United Methodist
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Allan King of Starkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Anne Caroline King, to Joseph Miles Forks, son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Paul Forks of Brandon.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ford Barlow Higdon of Jackson, and Mrs. David Allan King and the late Mr. King of Philadelphia. Miss King is a 2008 graduate of Starkville Academy and a 2012 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree from the Adkerson School of Accountancy. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She received her juris doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2015. She is a trust advisor with Regions Private Wealth Management.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Rhoda Joan Forks and Louis John Forks of San Antonio, and the late Irene Elizabeth Wells of Hattiesburg. Forks is a 2008 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School and a 2012 graduate of Villanova University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with minors in economics and theology. While at Villanova, he served as senior class president. He is also a 2015 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is a law clerk for the Court of Appeals of the State of Mississippi.
The wedding will take place at 5 p.m. May 13, at First United Methodist Church in Starkville. A reception will follow at The Mill. The couple will live in Ridgeland after the wedding.
