Miss Love and Popicg planning July 1 wedding at First Presbyterian Church

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Yancy Love of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Martha Yancy Love, to Eli Parsons Popicg, son of Stacey Leigh Popicg and Timothy Lee Popicg of Wheeling, W.V.

Miss Love is the granddaughter of Mrs. Barnett Douglas Hammond and the late Mr. Hammond of Corinth, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Yancy Love Sr. of Jackson. Popicg is the grandson of Mary Lee Smith and Terry Parsons Smith, of Wheeling.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and attended the University of Mississippi. She received a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and nutrition in 2012. At Ole Miss, Miss Love was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is the event planner and office manager for FTI Consulting in Washington, D.C.

The prospective bridegroom was graduated from Wheeling Central Catholic School in Wheeling. He attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where he played baseball and was graduated from West Virginia University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Popicg is director of finance for the Miss America Organization and lives in Washington, D.C.

The couple will be married July 1 at First Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow at the Country Club of Jackson.
