Miss Lowe and Marbury to exchange wedding vows April 22 at St. James

Mr. and Mrs. James Alcus Lowe III announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Lowe, to Dr. David Caleb Marbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick Marbury.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ray Sprayberry of Fulton, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Alcus Lowe Jr. of Vicksburg.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Weldon Kelly Jr. and the late Freda Gillaspy Kelly and the late Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Drake Marbury Sr., all of Jackson.

Dr. Lowe is a 2006 alpha omega graduate of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and a 2010 honors graduate of Southern Methodist University with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and biology. She was an active member of Delta Gamma sorority. She is a 2015 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where she was a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Medical Society. She is a second year internal medicine resident at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Marbury is a 2002 graduate of Waynesboro High School in Waynesboro, Va. He is a 2006 graduate of Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in classical languages and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2014. He is a third year resident in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The couple will exchange vows April 22 at St. James’ Episcopal Church.
