Back at work

After not being seen for weeks, crews with Bulldog Construction and Superior Asphalt were back at work on Ridgewood Road last week. Earlier that week, Bulldog was seen doing sidewalk and curb work and on Friday, Superior was out again overlaying Ridgewood’s south-bound lanes near Ridgewood Court. It was unlikely that work would continue this week, with heavy rains forecasted. Construction is part of a $4.7 million street repaving project, which is being paid for with Jackson’s one-percent infrastructure sales tax. Superior was awarded the contract last year. The project was expected to wrap up in June, but was delayed, in part, because of issues with the subcontractor and weather.
