Multiple fellow

Madison-Ridgeland Rotary Club member Arnold Landry (left) was recently recognized with his third Paul Harris Fellowship, a designation for people who have attained multiple levels of financial contribution to the service organization and the Rotary Foundation.

New fellows

Five members of the Rotary Club of North Jackson were named Paul Harris Fellows during a recent meeting. The recognition, named after the founder of Rotary International, recognizes individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

Passes gavel

At the Mississippi Concrete Association winter meeting, resident Les Howell (left) of Delta Industries passed the gavel to 2018 President Grady Gunn (right).


LINDA BISHOP was named fitness director and personal trainer at Reunion Golf and Country Club. She is a nationally certified personal trainer, nutrition specialist and group fitness instructor.

Ricky Black

Ricky Black from Jackson Preparatory School has advanced as a finalist for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association national coach of the year in the sport of football. Eight finalists from across the nation will be honored during The National Coach of the Year Awards Banquet which will take place in Sioux Fall, S.D. in June.

Art Exhibit

The Jackson Watercolor Group will host a reception for an art exhibit February 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Mary Katharine Loyacona McCravey Gallery in the McRae Building at Jackson Preparatory School.

Wish party

For the second consecutive year, Paul Moak Subaru selected Make A Wish® Mississippi as its hometown charity partner for the annual Subaru A Lot to Love Sales Event held throughout the 2017 holiday season.  As a part of the partnership, Paul Moak Subaru hosted a send-off party for five-year-old Stormy Barnes and her family who live in the metro
