Third generation

David Henderson Cheek, Troop 266, West University United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas, recently received the Boy Scouts of America’s highest honor, the Eagle Scout Award.  He is the son of Ann and John Cheek. David’s grandfather, Dr. Howard Cheek, became an Eagle Scout at the age of 14 in Grenada.  His three sons, Rogers, Chris and John, became Eagles in Troop 1, St. Andrews Episcopal Cathedral in Jackson.  Another grandson, Collin Cheek, son of Chris, received his Eagle Award in Bay St. Louis.
