Miss Harvey and Harrison planning April 7 wedding Bridlewood Barn

Mr. and Mrs. John Humphries Merrell of Ridgeland and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cannon Harvey of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Bentley Amelia Harvey, to Reid Scott Harrison, son of Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Scott Harrison of Clinton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Richard Newman III of Ridgeland, the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Tillman Harvey of Yazoo, Mrs. Wafford Humphries Merrell of Brandon and the late Dr. Merrell, Carol Purvis Moon of Magee and the late Norman Baylis Purvis. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Whitten Reid of Clinton, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Selwyn Harrison of Union.

Miss Harvey is a 2010 honor graduate of Jackson Academy. She attended the University of Mississippi and was graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. At Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, a Provost Scholar and active in Campus Crusade for Christ. Miss Harvey is a surgical intensive care nurse at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Harrison is a 2008 honor graduate of Clinton High School. He was graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. At Southern, he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2015 with a doctorate of physical therapy. Harrison is a physical therapist for Elite Physical Therapy in Byram.

 

The couple will exchange vows April 7 at the Bridlewood Barn of Madison with a reception to follow.
