Miss House and Wooley to exchange wedding vows June 16 at First Presbyterian

Dr. and Mrs. James Robert House III announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Helen House, to Clayton Mercier Wooley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Dewitt Wooley.

Miss House is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Randolph Gully of Louisville, and Dr. James Robert House Jr. and the late Mrs. House of Hattiesburg. Wooley is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hamilton James of Eufaula, Ala., and the late Dr. and Mrs. O.B. Wooley Jr. of Jackson.

The bride-elect is a 2014 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and attends the University of Mississippi. She will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in psychology. At Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, where she served as music chair and social chair. She was presented by the Debutante Club of Mississippi in 2016.

The prospective bridegroom was graduated from Jackson Preparatory School in 2013. He attends the University of Mississippi and will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in manufacturing. At Ole Miss, he was associated with the Center for Manufacturing Excellence and the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. Wooley was a member of the Eta Chapter of Sigma Chi fraternity, where he served as president and received the Balfour Award for the chapter. He serves on the Sigma Chi National Education and Leadership Board.

 

The couple will be married June 16 at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson with a reception following at the Country Club of Jackson.
