Beatrice Looney Donley

Services were held February 3 at St. James Episcopal Church for Beatrice (Bee) Looney Donley.

Mrs. Donley, retired educator, died January 25 in Philadelphia. She grew up in Drew, Miss., and Columbia, Tenn. She was graduated from LSU and did M.S. graduate work at Mississippi College and the University of Mississippi.




Hugh C. Montgomery Jr.

Services were held February 7 at Christ United Methodist Church for Hugh Cameron Montgomery Jr. of Madison. Bishop Clay F. Lee Jr. and the Rev. Calvin Cosnahan officiated.

Hugh Cameron Montgomery Jr. passed away peacefully February 3 at the age of 92.


Howard T. Richardson

Col. Howard T. Richardson (USAF retired), 96, passed away January 20 at his home in Brandon. The Louisville native, born September 6, 1921, was the oldest son of Dr. Elbert Leech Richardson and Edna Earl Triplett Richardson.



Annette Redden

Annette Cook Redden, 93, passed away January 15, 2018 in Bonita Springs, Fla. She was born December 22, 1924 in Turrell, Ark., and was reared in Blue Mountain. She was a graduate of Blue Mountain College and taught high school English for 30 years in Florida and Memphis.


Richard Lee Buford

Richard Lee Buford, 85, passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior January 14 in Apollo Beach, Fla. while surrounded by his family.

A former resident of Jackson, he was born in Holly Springs on February 27, 1932 to the late Charles C. and Dellie Regel Buford.



John Carter Stamm

John Carter “Jack” Stamm, a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, died Saturday, December 30. He was 86.

Visitation will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the B.B. Club, 721 Clay St. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church.
